At University High, in Irvine, California, we have started a club called Change for the Children. Our ultimate goal is $10000, which the Jonas Brothers will match and we are trying to reach our last $5000 through a benefit party. At this benefit we will have music and live entertainment, auctions, bidding off autographed headshots and memorabilia of certain celebrities, raffles, and more. All proceeds made will go to Change for the Children.
Along with a written petition, we are hoping to get 1000 signatures for the online petition to get the Jonas Brothers to notice our benefit and either attend or perform to their liking.

We have been trying to make contact with you for quite some time, so a little more effort in putting a petition together only helps.
Our ultimate club goal is $10000, but we are starting with a short term goal of raising $5000 through old fashioned fundraisers such as carwashes, local concerts, fun fashion shows and other events. Once we raise $5000, which we hope to be by April or May 2009, we were planning on throwing a benefit party, charging for admission tickets depending on who we can get to attend. The final date could definitely be adjusted to fit a certain schedule. We are trying to attain autographs and memorabilia of celebrities to auction off.
We were wondering the Jonas Brothers could make an appearance, which could include a possible performance, co-hosting, some autographed posters or items, or just a simple speech talking about coping with diabetes. Any of the above, or an alternative, would be amazing. Please be in contact.

PS. For your future knowledge, we have the support of Savannah Outen, who will be attending. Also, some local bands - we use the term "local" lightly because they are pretty well known - are Venus Infers, the Bolts (who have been compared to the Jonas Brothers), All Right August, Uptown Hero, and Vanilla Furs are in favor of this event. As of now, we have collected autographs from Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Jesse McCartney, and are waiting for a response from Chelsea Staub. Here, we just wanted to show you how much effort we have put into this club and event, so the Jonas Brothers would be part of something essentially bigger in the end.
