Restoring The Lost Legacy of Mesopotamia

We are the undersigned, we request the UNESCO to name a day for the stolen Iraqi Antiquities. The purpose is to restore the archive of the civilization of Mesopotamia.

The release of a world propaganda to restorethe stolen Iraqi antiquities through naming a special world day that aims to introduce the stolen Iraqi antiquities after 2003 and the importance of this antiquities for the history of mankind.

 

The aim:

 

Reorganizing the historical Iraqi Archive and finding out what is missing and what still exist.

 

The idea:

 

We mean by stolen antiquities are the ones which were lost after 2003 in the first place. This day will be used to let the world know how big the disaster of the stolen antiques was and what was exactly stolen. We aspire to the participation of the ministry of foreign affairs which can assign all the Iraqi embassies with organizing an activity related to the antiquities. Also to get the help of the Interpol and the UNESCO to issue a law that criminate dealing withstolen Iraqi antiquities, holding activities and publishing information about illegal antiquities merchants and markets and the importance of reporting them. This day will also be dedicated to honor those who participated in returning a part of the antiquities and show how those who traded with them ended up in prison.

Concentrating on the core that restoring Iraq’s antiquities is the responsibility of all humanity. Humanity owes her achievements to Iraq which invented writing, the law, the wheel…All of those led humanity to space and to the age of internet. Just like the responsibility of protecting Earth from the global warming is of humanity, it is its responsibility to pay back the debt to its first teacher Iraq and helping it to restore its historical archive.

هدفنا هو الطلب من منظمة اليونسكو ان تخصص يوما عالميا للاثار العراقية المسروقة بعد عام 2003 نتيجة الاحداث التي اعقبت دخول القوات الاجنبية الى العراق.

 

يكون الهدف منه الاتي :

1- اطلاق نداء استغاثة عالمي سنوي من اجل استعادة الارشيف الحضاري العراقي.

 

2- تعريف العالم بالاثار العراقية المسروقة بعد عام 2003 واهميتها بالنسبة الى الانسانية كلها .

 

3- متابعة الاثار العراقية المسروقة في الاسواق غير الشرعية للاثار حول العالم والعمل على تحريم التجارة بها والابلاغ عن الاشخاص والجهات التي تتاجر بالارشيف الحضاري العراقي.

 

4- العمل على اصدار قانون  دولي يجرم التجارة بالاثار العراقية المسروقة بعد عام 2003 و بالتعاون مع الشرطة الدولية.

 

5- تكريم الجهات و الاشخاص الذين ساهموا او يساهمون في اعادة الاثار العراقية الى وطنها الام العراق العظيم.
