Since its beginning, Club Penguin has caused smiles in our faces with their interesting, nice and amusing events, parties and games. We all have grown up with CP's awesome, funny and cool parties; but most importantly, with the feeling that Club Penguin was special. Why? Because it made us feel that, when we didn't had nothing to do or nowhere to go, we could turn on the computer and have some hours of fun with online friends! Club Penguin was a site that was separated from the real world, taking us to a different and unique one.
But now, everything changes. In June of 2012, Club Penguin entered into a new era: the Advertising era. It all began with MARVEL's Superhero Takeover party. Everyone thought that it would be funny and entertaining, but instead, the party only brought war and destruction to Club Penguin. Also, it separated penguins from all over the world, classifying us with one purpose: making us fight with each other. But you know what? The entire party was made just to advertise MARVEL and its products, that are NOT for little kids! And now, CP is going to release another party, this time advertising Disney Channel's "Shake it Up" show. ( MARVEL is owned by Disney, if you didn't knew )
What happened with our old Club Penguin? What happened with the peaceful snow - covered Island everyone loved? And what will happen with our nice and special memories of CP? I can't understand why the Walt Disney Company chose Club Penguin to advertise their own products, they have plenty of more places where to do that. All this stuff is taking away Club Penguin's magic... transforming it into something really bad and unhappy. It doesn't matter if you are 6, 10 or even 15 years old... if you don't want advertising in Club Penguin, please sign this petition to have our special and real Club Penguin back.
