On the 1st Septerber 2012 the Supreme Court has made a shocking and appauling new law; this law meant that sex offenders who haven't reoffended in the last fifteen years can apply to have their name removed from the sex offenders register. The sex offenders register was put into place to moniter sex offenders and prevent them from re-offending. It prevents people on the register from applying for jobs with children in, gives curfews in some parts of Britain and so much more needed to protect the public. In some cases it also stops paedophiles from having access to the internet unless in a monitered public place such as at college or a libarary. If they are not on the register all this stops.
Children need to be protected from sexual predators; what is to stop them now gaining access to the internet in their own home and downloading thosands of sexual and indent images of children? What is to say that a school unknowly gives a job to a paedophile? Someone who should be no where near children yet alone be in charge for looking after them?
Sex offenders can't reoffend because of these laws on the register; it becomes very hard for them to get access to children. If they are taken off all the walls in their way or removed. This means they can go to the park, they have access to jobs working with children, they no longer have curfews, and they no longer need regular police check ups. This can put so many children in harm's way; we need to make sure a paedophile will never be allowed to have a child of their own again, make sure they can never have a job in a school and the sex offenders register is a way to stop that.
A sexual attraction doesn't just go away, they will attack again. If a child is sexually abused by their teacher there is a high chance they will not speak up till many years later-this could mean that teacher has a chance to abuse other children in their care. The Supreme Court need to correct this make and stop allowing sex offenders to apply to be removed from the register for the protect of the innocent children who could easily come into contact with them.

The Supreme Court of Great Brtiain and Northen Ireland has changed the laws meaning that a sex offender can apply to have their name removed from the sex offenders register if they haven't reoffended in fifteen years. This means a sexual predator to children has access to working with children, internet access at home and so much more which could put our children at a high risk of being abused.
The sex offenders register was put in place to help prevent paedophiles and other cruel people from being allowed the access to sexual assult someone again. Please tell the Supreme Court to correct their mistake and keep sex offenders on the register for the safety and protection of others.
