There is an act up for a vote in Congress that will save innocent kids from the vile sex trafficking industry.
As an updated version of the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (RHYA) — which has supported homeless and at-risk children for over 40 years — this new legislation will strengthen protections for homeless children and introduce new measures to fight sex trafficking.
This Act is absolutely vital in helping homeless kids, as they are some of the most likely to become trafficking victims.
Sign our petition today: Call on your Senators to pass The Runaway and Homeless Youth and Trafficking Prevention Act (RHYTPA) as soon as possible.
We have the chance to save children's lives with this legislation... but it is critical that we act now. Every day this bill sits in Congress, more vulnerable kids fall prey to vile sex traffickers.
As you may know, The Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (RHYA) has helped some of our country's most vulnerable children for more than 40 years.
This act is absolutely vital in helping these innocent kids, as they are also some of the most likely to fall into the hands of child traffickers.
That's why I urge you to pass The Runaway and Homeless Youth and Trafficking Prevention Act (RHYTPA)
as soon as possible.
This updated legislation will introduce important new protections to save homeless and at-risk kids:
- Additional street outreach and better housing options to get kids off the streets
- A nondiscrimination clause to ensure LGBT homeless youth receive equal care
- Increased funding to transitional living programs, including education and job services
We can't keep leaving our kids out in the cold, dangerous streets… where they are easy prey for pimps and traffickers.
