Boycott Shirley Q Liquor!

Shirley Q Liquor is one of the drag personas of Chuck Knipp, a white male who performs in blackface and capitalizes on racist stereotypes of black women.
The following is an excerpt from the Shirley Q. Liquor myspace page, and a bio on this character:
"How you derrin'! I'm Shirley Q. Liquor. I is from Texarkana and is mother of 19 chillrens. I love some brown bakeded beans, sermons on ignunce, K-Mark, and Shlitz malt liquor..."

Her numbers include such titles as "Church Slave," "Who is My Baby Daddy?" and "Jailed."

The signers of this petition are not only expressing outrage at the fact that Shirley Q. Liquor continues to be invited to perform in our communities, but they are also committing to boycott any business, organization, or event that hosts her.
Our goal is to acquire 500 signatures. When we reach our goal, volunteers will hand deliver this petition to LGBTQIQ businesses and organizations to encourage them never to book this racist act.
