Create a code for spinal decompression

My mother has been having serious back pain for quite some time. She has been going to the doctor to have these spinal decompression sessions and it has helped her tremendously. The only downside to her situation (much like the rest of the world with back problems) is that as of right now a specific CPT code for this procedure does not exist. The doctors won't use any other codes because the insurance companies don't reimburse them for the procedure.  The doctors recommend the patient get several procedures in close proximity of each other in order for it to do the most good. Unfortunately for people like my mother, this means they have to pay a ridiculous amount of money upfront for each session. I am starting this petition in hopes that when I do get enough signatures I can send this to several insurance companies and let them know that this procedure does help, that it is needed and it should be covered as a normal medical procedure. It's hard to see your loved ones in pain and know that you alone can't do anything. Maybe with your help we can make a difference for all those people who are suffering. Thank you for signing.
