SAVE TIGARD ORCHESTRA - FIND AN EQUITABLE SOLUTION NOW!

Dear Tigard Tualatin Community, Lovers of Music and Supporters of Music Programming in Schools: 
The Tigard Tualatin School District has eliminated the Orchestra program in all Tigard Middle Schools and high school students will have to be bussed to another school to take Orchestra every day missing valuable classroom time!  Those students and parents who have dedicated 1000's of hours and dollars to the Orchestra program are left with no alternatives and the children who are passionate about their music program are left with no alternatives for continueing their music education in school.  Our orchestra kids are being asked to give up their love for Orchestra.   What does this teach them?  Is it okay to quit something you have started before you finish it?
 
When the Tigard Tualatin school board has been pressed, I have seen that they listen and respond.  We have a good school district but we supporters have to help create the solutions needed.  Each music program has suffered cuts but Orchestra is the only music program to be completely eliminated (with out a lot of notice!)  

What can you do?
1.  Sign this petition.
2.  Submit your email address to attend events where we need "numbers" in attendance to show support for Orchestra.
3.  Yes, we will take your money!  www.foundation4smartkids.org was established for the Tigard Tualatin community to support programs that the school district can not support.
4.  Join the "Robert Koehler - Orchestra" fan club on Facebook or ask your kids to.
