Where are you trying to take the Democratic Party?

  • von: Joanne Dixon
  • empfänger: Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chair, Democratic National Committee; Sen. Michael Bennet, outgoing chairman, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee; Sen. Jon Tester, incoming chairman, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee

In 2014, the Democratic Party lost the Senate. The DSCC Chairman at the time was Sen. Bennet, and we even lost his co-Senator from Colorado, Mark Udall. Now the new chairman of the DSCC is Sen. Tester. Recently, the Senate voted on overturning President Obama's veto of the Keystone XL pipeline. Nine Democratic Senators - the "Nimrod Nine" as Environmental Action calls them - voted with Republicans. Two of them were Sen. Bennet and Sen. Tester. Why is the Democratic Party continuing to put Blue Dogs in positions of leadership? This is NOT the direction in which the ordinary people of the Democratic Party (and the Democratic Party is SUPPOSED to be the Party of Ordinary People) want it to go. It is going to take a whole lot of Progressivism to get our country recovered and on track, and we need it now.
