Help us keep our small flock of chicken

Someone called the town of Grand Island and I was notified that I had to file for a variance because I do not have 2 acres of land to put agricultural animals on. I own six chickens that the kids have started as pets and as a food source to teach them responsibilities and proper care of animals
The rules are the chickens have to be at least 100 feet away from the houses they are very quiet .We let them out whenever we are outside for a little exercise and they go right back in, they do not make any noise whatsoever. I’m reaching out To all of my neighbors to see if they would object for us to keep our chickens . We thank you from our hearts
