Visa, Mastercard: Don't Process Payments to White Supremacist David Duke's Site

  • empfänger: Alfred F Kelly Jr, CEO, Visa; Ajaypal Singh Banga, CEO, Mastercard
David Duke is an American white nationalist, anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist, Holocaust denier, convicted felon, and former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. He's also a supporter of the violent "Unite the Right" race riots that recently led to the death of 1 and injury of 19 in Charlottesville, VA.

Companies and individuals are disassociating with the alt-right in droves: individuals who attended the Charlottesville rally to support the alt-right are losing their jobs and being disowned by their families. Web hosting platforms GoDaddy and Google are refusing to host the alt-right website The Daily Stormer. And five CEOs, including that of pharma company Merck, UnderArmour, Intel, and the Alliance for American Manufacturing, have dropped out of Trump's advisory business council after he failed to denounce the white nationlists.

It's time for Visa and Mastercard to disassociate from white supremacy as well. David Duke's website includes a donation form where folks can input their credit card information. Please sign this petition to ask Visa and Mastercard to publicly commit to refusing to process payments to David Duke's site.

Visa and Mastercard already block payments to much less harmful things like marijuana, porn, Wikileaks, gambling, and lottery tickets. Please sign to ask them to add white supremacists to that list.

White supremacy will not be supported in any way, shape or form by our society. Refusing to host its websites, employ its supporters, or process through its donations is a nonviolent and effective way to do this. Please sign!
