Petition to Restore Water and Allow Complete Installation of STS Meters In Cosmo City

Johannesburg Water and Cosmo City residents entered into an agreement in June 2022 for the installation of STS meters in the Cosmo City (including Ext 2,4 &6) before the billing of water can start. However, recent developments have caused some distress amongst residents where residents experienced water cuts ( Level 1 and Level 3 cuts) even though the installation of meters is not complete particularly in Extensions 2,4 &6.

As residents of Cosmo City, we therefore propose that:

1. Water billing be stopped until the installation of STS meters is complete in the entire Cosmo City as per the attached letter.

2. A meeting with relevant officials (JW, Councilor, MMC) to address the challenges and concerns currently being faced with the water cuts.
