I am starting this petition because I am for one so tired of hearing spanish or english? Are we not in "our country", do we not deserve the respect to have our language spoken by the people who run to our country for freedom, work, our american dreams? Anyone is welcome to come to our country, they want what we have and I can understand that but why not have the respect of our country to learn the language? I feel that there should be a 2 yr. learning curve on the english language if you choose to live here and if you choose to work here. You must be able to communicate in english. There are so many people in our country that cannot even speak our language and yet they can take our jobs, as well as some of the work places insist we know spanish! Why? We didnt cross the border. This is why I feel this petition is so important, I am not being a racist but realist because I see it everyday as I am sure other americans do as well. Please bring back the english language as the first language we speak!
