We Cannot Afford the Minimum Wage

Raising the minimum wage in a state would mean that businesses would have to augment prices to align what they pay their employees. Also the other consequences could include less business for a company due to higher prices. Additionally, businesses cutting employees so they can pay the other employees more, which also means that people stay with a business longer and that does not allow for those looking for work the opportunity to. There are many dismaying and daunting consequences to raising the minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour which would not better the lives of the workers or be beneficial to the economy.
