Sharon Barnes, Abortion Should Always Be an Option!

Sharon Barnes, the GOP 4th senate district committeewoman of the Missouri Republican Party, said that pregnancies from rape are a "blessing" from God.

She said that "abortion is never an option" and that "very few rapes result in pregnancy". Actually, more than 31,000 pregnancies from rape happen in the United States every year. 

It is absolutely inhumane to force a woman to go through a pregnancy after being raped. Please tell Sharon Barnes that abortion should always be an option!

Recently you said that pregnancies resulting from rape are a "blessing from God", that "abortion is never an option" and that "very few rapes result in pregnancy".


Actually, over 31,000 pregnancies from rape happen in the United States each year. It is inhumane to force women to go through with these pregnancies after being raped. Abortion should always be an option.
