Asking Loblaws to retire their plastic bags

Please stop using plastic bags. In 2018, Loblaw’s earned $45B in sales revenue across all its chains. If the average Canadian spends $214/month on groceries, and 63% of us shop once a week, that’s an average of $53.5 per visit. If each visitor uses one plastic bag per visit, thats 900,000,000 plastic bags per year used by Loblaws alone, and only by 62.3% of grocery shoppers. Please stop bagging with plastic.
