School Choice for the Lowndes/Valdosta Area

There is an effort underway in Lowndes County to open a public, tuition-free school of choice called Scintilla Charter Academy (“SCA”). The mission of SCA is to increase student achievement and develop social responsibility through educational innovation in a safe community of involved families and educators. Scintilla Charter Academy proposes to open for the 2015-2016 school year, serving Kindergarten through Third Grade and increasing one grade per year through Fifth Grade.
