This indicates a surge in a common sense understanding of how only better control of manufacture and sale of assault weapons will result in stopping the kinds of massacres of young people and adults we have seen recently. All legislators in Washington now have a decision to make; do what is best for the safety of the children in America or bow to the lobbyists for gun manufacturers like the NRA. Senate Majority Leader must start with the reinstatement of the Assault Weapons Ban and move forward to make America a safer place for us all.
