Dear GMT&S Member: At the annual GMT&S Membership meeting on July 6, 2014, the Membership presen voted overwhelmingly that they wanted the GMT&S Board of Directors to direct both lawyers to work together to resolve the issue of the water separation and to provide the Water Committee with the unapproved minutes to authorize the lawyer, Robert Simon, to create the necessary association within 90 days. Neither one of these mandates was acted upon. The two lawyers have not communicated since that meeting and, in spite of numerous requests, the minutes were not given to the Water Committee. Three weeks ago, five (5) of the seven (7) members of the GMT&S Board of Directors agreed to have the Acting Secretary,Christine DiMeglio, and Board Members, Nora Mongan, listen to the tape of the July 6, 2014 Membership meeting and prepare the minutes which the Water Committee would then take to the lawyer, Robert Simon, to create the necessary association. However, the President of the GMT&S Board of Directors, Serhij Hoshowsky, has refused to respond to multiple requests for the tape. The Water Committee had an appointment with Robert Simon at 10 am on Monday, October 6, 2014 to form the necessary association, but that appointment had to be cancelled because there were no minutes. The Water Committee and the majority of the Board of Directors have done everything possible to honor the mandate so clearly stated by the Membership at the July 6, 2014 annual meeting. However, the President of the Board of Directors, Serhij Hoshowsky, continues to ignore requests for the tape. The Membership of GMT&S needs a President who will lead the Board of Directors - not dictate to them; a President who will cooperate with the Board of Directors and work with them; and a President who will communicate with both the Board of Directors and the Membership - not ignore them. The purpose of this petition is to request the resignation and/or removal of Serhij Hoshowsky from the GMT&S Board of Directors so the Board of Directors can get back on track with more responsive leadership and respect for the will of the GMT&S Membership.
