Tell Virginia to REJECT the GOP candidate who said rapists cannot impregnate their victims!

Republican candidate for Virginia Representative, Yesli Vega, made shocking statements at a campaign event minimizing the possibility of pregnancy by rape. Vega is quoted saying "The left will say, 'Well what about in cases of rape or incest?' I'm a law enforcement officer. I became a police officer in 2011. I've worked one case where as a result of a rape, the young woman became pregnant."

Yesli Vega is using her history in law enforcement to corroborate one of the most harmful anti-choice talking points in the book. It's beyond reprehensible.

The candidate cited no sources behind her claim but babbled "there's so much going on in the body. I don't know. I haven't, you know, seen any studies… Because it's not something that's happening organically. You're forcing it. The individual, the male, is doing it as quickly — it's not like, you know — and so I can see why there is truth to that. It's unfortunate."

This is deeply offensive nonsense and this is not the type of person we need making decisions in our country.
