50,000 Strong for Willie Woodgett

Re: Request for Reconsideration of the Case of Willie Woodgett
    We, the undersigned, respectfully petition.

Honorable, Judge Daniel Guerin to review the case of Willie Woodgett Case Number #00274285 , who is currently incarcerated at The County Of Dupage, Wheaten Illinois

We are writing with the utmost respect to request reconsideration of the case of Willie Woodgett.

    Reason for Petition:
We believe that Willie Woodgett was wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit. During trial proceedings, a key witness ( the deceased Mother ) admitted in court that she had tampered with evidence, yet despite this testimony, he was still convicted.

Furthermore, there are serious concerns about how evidence in this case was handled. It has come to light that An FBI investigator reported that crucial evidence was taken to the state but later discarded. In addition, even the father of the deceased ( formal FBI Agent) felt compelled to investigate the case himself due to the lack of thorough action by DuPage County authorities.

These circumstances raise grave questions about the fairness of the conviction and the integrity of the judicial process. In light of this, We respectfully ask the Court to reconsider this case and review whether continued incarceration under such circumstances serves the cause of justice.

We understand the weight of this request and express it only in the belief that justice must prevail when errors or misconduct may have influenced a conviction. We thank the Court for its time and careful consideration of this matter.

Respectfully, Mother Of The Willie Woodgett
