Many peaceful protestors have been beaten and arrested during the government confiscation of their land, including Can Thi Theu.
In Vietnam, people’s livelihood is being stripped from them without appropriate compensation. Instead of listening to the people’s concerns, the government is arresting and beating protestors.
Can Thi Theu was forced to leave her home as the government confiscated her land. She was arrested for “disrupting public order” while she photographed and filmed the coerced eviction. After being arrested, she carried out a hunger strike for 10 days.
Please sign to tell the President of Vietnam to drop all charges against Can Thi Theu and stop arresting peaceful protestors.
