In light of the most recent tragedy in Newtown CT, it has become more evident that we must institute prayer back in our school system. This country was built on Godly principles by our forefathers, I believe they understood the importance of including the presence of God in the structuring of this great country. We even see on the currency we use "In God We Trust". The economy which is the backbone of this country has God in place, why shouldn't the school system which shapes and molds the minds of the people who will run the economy in the future have a chance to include God in their daily activities. I am a firm believer that if we provide our children with the opportunity to start their day off with prayer that our schools will become a safer place. We all must stand together on this issue because our kids in some cases spend more time at school than they do with us. We must get prayer back in our schools!!!
