Petition for action on a right turn safety lane

The residences of Hearthstone Manor are concerned for their safety while making a 90-degree right hand turn into our enclave in 45 MPH + traffic West bound on Old Hickory Blvd. Several incidences of near collisions have been reported with excessive speed and tailgating by other motorists while executing this dangerous turn. The original request for this service is approaching a year old. Little progress has been reported yet the danger continues. We, the registered voters of over 150 strong in Hearthstone Manor want action to deliver this right turn lane promptly before a death is incurred.
