Add Crisis Hotline to Student i-Cards at UIUC

A group of proactive students at UIUC is investigating the addition of a crisis hotline onto the back of our iCards. Especially on a massive and sometimes isolating campus like ours, student suicide is a consistent problem. If an Illini is in an emergency situation with respect to their mental health, they should need to look no further than their pocket to easily access a 24-hour resource for acute care. We believe that there is certainly enough space on the card to include a hotline number, and that this is a common sense measure to give Illini an immediately accessible line of defense.
