Let Alexander Davis back in the REC

I was banned from Southern Illinois University's Student Recreation center in August for a mistake I made. I was banned for 2 years. Normally someone would be banned for only 1 semester, but in my case it's 2 years which seems very unfair to me. I am a native of Carbondale and just finished my college basketball career. I am currently in the process of going to play basketball overseas, but as of now I have no gym. I am trying to prepare basketball overseas which will help me take care of my family, but I cannot do that because I have no gym access. I understand that I made a mistake, but I don't think I should be banned for a long period of 2 years, it feels like a jail sentence. Please help me get access back into this facility so I can get back to training and doing the thing I love the most. Thank you so very much.
