DEMAND EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT ABDEL FATTAH EL-SISI ERADICATE FGM (female gentital mutilation)

Although FGM is banned in Egypt today, Female Circumcision is still being practiced. In smaller, poorer parts of the country women and children are still being subjected to these cruel procedures. Procedures in which a doctor takes a razor and cuts the private parts which are mutilated to prevent promiscuity, in many cases women and children have died. These women have no say about their bodies, and it is our duty not only as free thinking women and men but also as human beings to give a voice to these innocent people and make sure that this practice ends.

This petition is asking that the president of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi put more effort into the well being of the women that share his country and to give them a voice by providing educated doctors, community based resources, and counselling for the women and children still being affected by this horrible practice.

It is so important to make sure women are given education and resources to make health based decisions on their own, and no child should be subjected to this. So thank you for signing and giving a voice to these 140 million + women worldwide who have undergone this awful procedure.
