DUNBLANE: Reduce Speed Limit on Argyle Way-Roman Way-George Street to 20 miles per hour.

This is a busy road through a residential area, used by all forms of transport. It is popular with school children making their way to and from school, younger children attending the George Street playpark, parents/carers buggywalks as well as general pedestrians.

As the road travels downhill, vehicles tend to pick up speed as they approach the junction at Roman Way/George Street – Hillside Avenue. If vehicles bypass this junction and continue onto George Street they have already sped up as they approach the children’s playpark, (visibility is obscured as this road is usually heavily filled with parked cars). I am afraid a tragic accident potentially might happen.

Therefore, please sign* this petition to Stirling Council requesting they implement a renewed traffic calming measure of a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour with speed humps or chevrons.
