Demand stronger penalties for move over law violations

We need to have stiffer penalties for the move over law. I am a sister to Troy McGuire Jr who lost his life on October 9th . He was a dedicated tow truck operator. There are too many of our loved ones not making it home due to this law that is in effect now not being strict enough. If this law carried stiffer penalties drivers would be taking it much more seriously. As it stands today this is a non criminal traffic offense. You have a mandatory court appearance for not having a legal registration in your car and yet no one has been injured nor killed by forgetting to put it back in the glove box. And yet you fail to move over for responders and you get a ticket with no mandatory court appearance? Drivers should be made to take classes, appear in court, pay fines, whatever it takes to make this law stronger and have less of our loved ones killed and more of them able to go home to the families that they love and that love them.....
