Fox News' signature libel and slander is finally coming back to bite them, in the form of two multi-billion dollar lawsuits. Surprise! It would seem that spreading election fraud conspiracies that result in fatal attempted insurrections is not the best choice to make as a major news station. This is the moment to make sure they know it comes with hard-earned consequences.
Fox News openly and shamelessly promoted the idea that both Dominion and Smartmatic, two rival voting system companies, assisted in rigging the 2020 election. That's a pretty bold claim from people who have zero clue what they're talking about, with no basis other than the tyrant they liked didn't win. It's more than clear that the facts are in Dominion and Smartmatic's corners.

To not rule against Fox would set a dangerous precedent for reporting, and show the insurrectionists that they might just be able to get away with anything. The news station is, of course, standing behind "freedom of press"— as if they didn't actively state fraud claims as fact. Reporting should be unbiased, and certainly shouldn't assist in the deconstruction of our democracy.
Fox News knows that they've broken the law, they're just hoping they'll get away with it..
