Childcare in Court

I was involved in a domestic issue and I was told to go to court to extend a protection order for my son and myself. Being a single mom who is unemployed I can’t afford to pay a babysitter let alone find one so I’m forced to take my son with me to handle my affairs. Unfortunately when I arrive to court I’m informed my son could not go into the court room with me, after reading online that children were allowed yet unadvised. I feel that child care should be available in the family court building because a individual should never have to put their safety in jeopardy because they don’t have a sitter for their kids.
