Fight Heart Disease with Basketball

In October of 2013, Denise B. Swilley passed away from Cogestive Heart Failure. At the time only 10% of her heart was working causing her to have shortness of breath and a few days later passing away. She was a heavy smoker so with our basketball tournament we are trying to persuade the city of Brooklyn to raise heart disease awareness to the youth.

The name of our tournament is called, the Denise B. Swilley Basketball Classic. It is an all girls league. No BOYS allowed!

We are also trying to reach potential sponsors to help support our cause.
