Demand on research to get patients off of Benzodiazepine

I was put on Ativan for insomnia , for over 10 yrs. why in the world should doctors prescribing benzos for over the recommended 2 to 4 wks not be held accountable. We are all so sick, physically, mentally and our lives have been ruined
