End the Racist Laptop and Tablet Travel Ban!

The US Department of Homeland Security has just banned laptops and tablets from flights coming out of 10 Middle Eastern Airports. They cite security concerns, but that doesn't make sense if they just target the Middle East. If someone wanted to use a laptop or tablet to smuggle explosives onto a plane, they could simply fly out of a different country.

That's why this ban is totally racist and ineffective and we can't stand for it!

There is also the fact that folks can still check laptops and tablets. So if they have explosives, they would still be on board. Essentially, this move does NOTHING for national security and only serves to grow tension and racism over the Middle East. 

Please sign this petition to speak out against this useless and silly rule. If Homeland Security really thought laptops and tablets were a true security threat, they should be banned on flights in general, not only from these airports.
