My name is Emma Macaluso and I am from Elk Rapids High School. I am running this fall to be a 2022 Youth Governor at our Michigan Youth in Government High School Conference. I have been in presiding Officer positions in the past at both the middle school and high school levels. Additionally, I have participated in YMCA events on the national level, including the Conference on National Affairs and the Youth Advocacy Days. The YMCA four core values were introduced to me at a young age at my YMCA Camp and they have been a huge part of my life ever since. My experience with leadership is extended into my school life, too. I am currently a leader of my school's Student Senate and a delegation leader too. I consider myself very involved and informed in politics and want to encourage civil engagement and participation in students around the country. I love this program and would be honored to have the ability to lead as your next Youth Governor.
