The class known as "Dude Rock" among Citrus Students is meant for musicians of all levels who are interested in becoming live performers, session musicians, song writers, and many other types of performance based work within the music industry. Unlike other music class's at Citrus College "Dude Rock" offers students a chance to explore their creativity in any field of music they choose to explore and get positive insight of their work. Alan Waddington has taught this since its inception and knows how to best relate to these young musicians. Without Mr. Waddington teaching this class and inspiring the minds of student musicians as only he can this class will not be the same. Administration wants to remove Mr. Waddington from teaching this class due to budgeting. We the students from past, present, and future of “Dude Rock” want to tell Administration that there has been enough cost cutting actions to our education and will not stand by and allow another by removing our teacher and mentor from our class. "Dude Rock" is uniquely different from any other course that Citrus has to offer and it is solely due to its uniquely different instructor Mr. Alan Waddington. Help us in getting our message across and signing this petition to keep Alan Waddington teaching the class he pioneered. Thank you
