We, the undersigned residents of Trilogy @ Vistancia hereby demand a solution to improve delivery service by the United State Postal Service. We believe this will require action by the USPS, Shea Homes, Associated Asset HOA and the City of Peoria.
For years, the residents of Trilogy have suffered from horrible postal delivery service, due to the following problems.
A. Trilogy Postal Center is normally closed for mail pick-up until 6:00-8:00 PM daily.
B. USPS is prevented by Shea HOA regulations from delivering Certified, Registered and oversized mail and packages to Trilogy residents.
C. Residents must drive approximately 1-hour roundrip to the Peoria Post Office Branch to pick-up or mail packages. This is completely unacceptable and rediculous, especially for senior citizens and those residents that may be disabled or not have a means of transportation.
D. The explosive growth of communities in North Peoria justifies having a local Post Office Branch.
Proposed Solutions:
1. Modify Shea/HOA rules to allow USPS mail delivery to residents.
2. USPS should consider leasing office space for a new branch, until a more permanent facility can be established. If this is not done, the residents will continue to increase use of FedEx, DHL and UPS.
