I. MISSION & URGENCY

We, the undersigned, formally support the nomination of Festa Wine & Cocktail Lounge for the SF Legacy Business Registry.  Festa is the last Japanese-owned "snack bar" lounge in Japantown, preserving the cultural "Mama-san" style of hospitality.  The business will soon be forced to close if a newly proposed restriction goes into effect that would prevent it from operating between the hours of 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.  Legacy Status is critical to protecting its historical 2:00 AM operating rights and securing Rent Stabilization Grants.
