Tell the Media to stop giving Republicans a free pass on lies and extremism

It's become so commonplace that we've come to expect it — reporters refusing to plainly call out lies and extremism from Republican leaders.

Obvious lies are softened to "debatable" or some other weasel word. And wildly extreme policies and actions from Republicans are paired with slightly left of center ones from Democrats to create false "both sides" stories. We saw the damage this did in 2016, when Trump got away with an unprecedented number of lies, and we're already seeing it as we approach 2024.

Yes, some media sources are better than others, but the vast majority regularly give Republicans a free pass. They are simply too timid to report accurately on what the Republican Party has become. And this has to stop.
