So often we hear stories of children in schools being bullied or mistreated by the staff. This has been going on for a long long time now. Unfortunately, it may seem to some, like it's a part of growing up. But so many child have disabilities and they are especially the ones being targeted. I find that the schools, although they may be limited on what they can do, can do more by installing cameras throughout the school and school grounds. Children with disabilities are not as able to communicate whether it be verbally or because of a mental impairment, need protection the most. People who have children, disabled or not would feel so much better knowing that there is a camera in the halls, cafeteria, playground, gym, library and auditorium has security cameras set up. I believe with all my heart, we would see a decrease in bullying and other crimes. Why would schools prevent or object to having them? They shouldn't, especially if there is nothing to hide. But some of these private schools do object to having them, as they say, it's a privacy issue. That's all they have to say, and those words give them the right to do almost anything, and in some cases, hide what could be going on behind closed doors, such as phycial abuse, etc. The school principal would only have to show footage of the incident, or if an incident had even taken place. This also can protect teachers from accusations of abuse from the students. It's nessasary to have them installed, and will not only keep everyone honest, but safe as well.
