MC Dirt company attempting to clear Edisto riverfront property for yet another sand mine.

MC Dirt Company, LLC is attempting to clear riverfront land on the Edisto River located next door to a residential property in Ridgeville, SC. Michael L. Onufer, who's family has owned the land since the 1960's, has already seen the negative consequences that another sand mine, located across the street, have had on the local environment and wildlife. Onufer commented, "Increased traffic, loud noises, land clearing, and site runoff have not only created an inconvenience to us local residents, but it has greatly reduced the amount of wildlife present in the area". If we can get enough signatures we can stop this corporation from creating this plant in our backyard and displacing numerous wildlife species.
