Send a Thank You Message to an Ethiopian Community Worker

Senait is a hard worker from a poor family. She needed a job and people with disabilities in her community needed an advocate. So she decided to help.

There was a lack of awareness about disability in Senait's community in Ethiopia. "People, including myself at the beginning, did not think that impairment can be prevented or restored or rehabilitated," she recalls.

Today, Senait works with cbm Canada to educate her friends and neighbors, provide health screenings for people with disabilities in her community and empower families to fight for children's rights.

Senait is just one of many community workers who work on behalf of disadvantaged people in their communities. Her hard work and dedication helps change the lives of people who would otherwise miss out on opportunities to live, work and engage with their community.
