Stop Separating Families and Robbing Public Health!

Right now, Trump's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is stealthily diverting tens of millions of dollars out of public health to pay for the consequences of his horrific border policy.

In the past two months, the Trump administration has paid more than $30 million to house the more than 2500 children that were cruelly separated from their parents. That doesn't include costs like transportation or food. To make matters worse, HHS is now scrambling to fulfill a court order to reunite the children and their parents, which is ballooning costs even further.

Where did this money come from? Much of it was pilfered from the budget of HHS. It was funding for things like medical research or rural health care programs. Instead, now it is being used to fund Trump's inhumane and extremely unpopular border policy.

By separating families, the President and his administration have created an entirely new, man-made health crisis. This must stop now.
