Stop Insurers from Shifting Costs to Patients

The amount Iowans pay for their prescriptions is on the rise. That’s because insurers are shifting more and more costs to patients, particularly to the sickest and those with chronic conditions.

The out-of-pocket costs for those with multiple sclerosis, primary immunodeficiency diseases, cancer, and autoimmune disease continues to grow more and more expensive. We think that should change and people should have the coverage they signed up for.
