As housing prices skyrocket, families across the country are struggling to find a place to live. Yet Conservatives have done nothing to address the housing crisis in Canada.

The federal government has an important role to play in affordable housing, but Stephen Harper has abandoned subsidies to help low-income renters. Now, Canadians face a severe shortage of affordable housing options.

The NDP has joined the Federation of Canadian Municipalities in urging the Conservatives to invest in long-term funding for affordable and social housing. We call on Conservatives to immediately renew long-standing funding agreements that are set to expire.
