Bill Daley: Don't Kowtow to Wall Street

There's been a lot of staff shake-up at the White House as President Obama regroups to deal with a much more conservative Congress. One of the most worrisome appointments is the president's new chief of staff -- William Daley.
Sure, Daley has a history of government service, but he is also closely tied to Wall Street. In fact, he's moving to the White House from JP Morgan Chase. Plus, in the past Daley has worked to loosen corporate reform laws.
Obama may need to reach out to businesses, but the United States needs to make sure Big Business doesn't get carte blanche to run amok again. Our country can't afford to have our leaders put politics above what's best for the country.
Tell the new Chief of Staff Daley to not sacrifice hardworking Americans for the interests of Wall Street.
Dear Mr. Daley,
Congratulations on your new appointment as White House Chief of Staff. I ask that you use your new position to help benefit the United States and all Americans -- not just those at the top.

While Wall Street bankers have made it through the recession and are back to business as usual, every day Americans are suffering under high unemployment and an uncertain future. Please, do everything you can to restore equality and help the middle class through the recession.
