Tell Speaker Boehner: We Need More Than a Promise

House Speaker John Boehner promised that he would do everything he could to pass protections for women in our society. And yet, in the same breath, he publically stated he has not made a decision about whether to take up the bipartisan Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) passed by the Senate. This major bill provides critical federal resources to combat sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking for all women, including new provisions that strengthen protections for LGBT individuals and Native Americans.

We can't let Speaker Boehner forget - lives are at stake. We must make him take action.

It's time Speaker Boehner honored his promise. Tell the Speaker to take up the Senate version of VAWA and move forward with protections for women today!
