Petition to Oppose the APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE under the RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF GRAHAMDALE ZONING BY-LAW NO. 937-2005, as amended for the following two properties. Lot 40, Plan 46115 in NW 11-29-10W and Lot 39, Plan 46115 in NW 11-29-10W

The two properties are located on the east side of Cottage Road in Cottage Development 2. The properties are currently zoned for single family dwellings. The proposed main buildings include 5 bedrooms with private baths and the Guest Houses have two additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom. These are much more like rooming houses for short-term rentals than cottages. Much of the charm of the Steep Rock area and specifically our neighborhood is that it is made up of owner occupied single family homes creating a caring and respectful community. It also helps regulate the road traffic based on the number of families living in this area. We feel these rooming houses would degrade the neighborhood we enjoy and could negatively impact our property value in the future.  We, the undersigned citizens of the Steep Rock Cottage Developments call upon the R.M. of Grahamdale NOT to allow the applications for conditional use of Lot 40, Plan 46115 in NW 11-29-10W and Lot 39, Plan 46115 in NW 11-29-10W.
