Demand Justice in Haiti: Hold the U.N. Accountable

One of history's worst cholera epidemics still ravages Haiti's countryside, sickening 14,000 people this year alone.

The outbreak hit after the 2010 earthquake, when U.N. peacekeepers built poor sanitation structures near a crucial water supply. After six years of denial, the U.N. has now acknowledged responsibility for the epidemic.

Now, we need your help requesting timely, decisive action from the United Nations to fight this deadly scourge — with urgent investments that save lives today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Nearly 10,000 Haitians have died since 2010 from this water-borne disease, despite the fact it's entirely treatable. Often, an IV bag is all it takes to revive a patient on the brink of death.

We expect the U.N. to present its plan within two months. But Partners In Health is in Haiti now, caring for cholera patients in 12 health centers across the nation, vaccinating families at risk, and improving infrastructure for safe drinking water — so Haitians never have to experience this epidemic again.

Sign your name to support Partners In Health and our work to eliminate cholera in Haiti — and to urge swift, decisive action from the U.N.
