Mental illness is not a crime and should be treated before the crime occurs !!

People need to treat these men and woman with more care in handling them when they have been overseas. I have a brother who drove a truck with supplies to defense base combat zones. He is incarcerated at this time he has PTSD. He was at a police station before his crime. They never even took him to a hospital for evaluation. He left there and now he is in prison with  a mental illness. Not a officer  took the time to truly help him. No one heard him till the crime was committed. Then it was put in the paper as if he is a monster.  Not even a call to his family.I feel if he was helped before his crime  he might not be in prison. When people have a mental illness and come home from IRAQ with PTSD they should be handled like the hero they are.They come home a different person and need the time to heal. I feel if this was done for my Brother He might not have to heal behind bars !!!
